Characters to be Portrayed:

Cyrus Avery (portrayed by WILLIAM WORLEY)
known as the Father of Route 66. He was instrumental in getting the mother road into the Midwest connecting cities and bringing prosperity to the West, more specifically his hometown of Tulsa.

John Steinbeck (portrayed by NOEL PUGACH, Ph.D.)
who’s novel Grapes of Wrath led the way in revealing the harsh lifestyles of migrant farmers traveling Route 66 in hopes of a better life.

Henry Ford (portrayed by HANK FINCKEN)
Engineer, inventor, dreamer. By 1927 Henry Ford had mastered the idea of mass production. His Ford plant included all the elements needed for automobile production: a steel mill, glass factory and automobile assembly line.

Bob Wills (portrayed by DR. MICHAEL A. HUGHES)
Musician, fiddler, writer, Texan. He played good music for dancing. His trademarks were a cowboy hat, cigar and fiddle. The new electronic media (radio) would forever change the world. People all over America listened to Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.

Thomas Hart Benton (portrayed by DOUG MISHLER)
is an artist who did paintings, lithographs and drawings from his travels throughout the United States. By 1934 Benton had become one of the most recognized artists in America capturing the essence of contemporary America.
